Our WORK In Education is “Rooted in Purpose. Rising in Impact”
Ashley Kearney, DCSO President
Chair, Executive Committee
A Message from the State President:
Greetings Sisters,
Welcome to the 2025-2027 Biennium, key women educators! As we close out summer recess and enter our school communities into our various roles, I want to thank you for your active presence in the field of education.
We are at a time when our founders’ vision--unity in efforts toward better professional preparation, recognition of women’s work in the profession, and scholarship for those needing aid in improving their professional preparation—is deeply needed.
And without question, the field of education is in a state of emergency. However, we must put on our own mask first. Each of our chapters and committees must be healthy and active across efforts at every level of our organization. All of our members must see themselves in this work. Our collective strength is how we grow, how we thrive, and how we drive meaningful change in education and society for many seasons to come.
In this chapter of our journey, we will be guided by the theme: Empowered Together: Rooted in Purpose, Rising in Impact. Through our eight strategic goals and seven biennium commitments, we will remain grounded in the values that define who we are and rise to lead with clarity.
Thank you for trusting me to lead and doing it with me. Together, we learn continuously. We lead boldly. We lift each other.
We’re on a mission and I need you. Let’s get into formation!
In Solidarity,
Ashley Kearney
